Experience the satisfaction of public service, doing what you love to do, while enjoying professional career growth and promotional opportunities!DESCRIPTION OF WORKThis is a District position involved with line painting, thermoplastic application, and other durable pavement markings requiring the operation of many pieces of CDL equipment. For winter, the incumbent will be placed in a county to perform winter maintenance duties. They must operate maintenance equipment that is assigned to this operator level and the performance of a variety of manual laboring duties.This position is part of a paint crew based out of Hollidaysburg, Blair County.Working hard and serving Pennsylvania each day is a rewarding job. • Full-time employment.
• Work hours vary from 7 : 30 AM to 3 : 30 PM; Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
• Travel, overtime and shift work required. Work hours subject to change based on seasonal requirements and operational needs.

• Successful completion of the Transportation Equipment Operator Trainee Program employed by the Commonwealth of PA; or
• Graduation from a Commercial Driver's License Training School; or
• An equivalent combination of experience and training.Special Requirements :
• This position requires possession of a valid Pennsylvania Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License with the Air Brake Restriction (L) removed.
• This position requires possession of a valid Medical Examiner's Certificate in accordance with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.Conditions of Employment :
• All employees must obtain an active certification issued by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation in the operation of heavy trucks and loaders within the probationary period.
• Employees may be required to obtain and maintain CDL endorsements and certifications necessary to operate specific pieces of equipment.
• Certain positions require operation of vehicles or equipment with a manual transmission.
• This position is subject to Drug and Alcohol testing in accordance with Federal Regulations.Additional Requirement :
• You must be willing to commute to Blair County, Pennsylvania
• You must be willing and able to work unannounced overtime.
• You must be willing and able to repair industrial type equipment (pumps, paint, and bead guns, other painting related equipment)
