Position Overview:
Phlebotomist for a local contract assignment in the Valley Forge Phlebotomy Unit. This 13-week contract offers a guaranteed 40-hour workweek, with a competitive wage rate. The ideal candidate should be experienced in phlebotomy and able to work from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform blood draws and collect other specimens as required.
- Ensure proper patient identification and labeling of samples.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
- Maintain accurate records and document all procedures.
- Collaborate with healthcare staff and provide excellent patient service.
- Prepare samples for transport to the lab and follow all transportation protocols.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a phlebotomist.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowledge of safety and infection control practices in a clinical setting.
