DESCRIPTION OF WORK
As a Records Specialist 1, you will review, evaluate, and validate inmate records. This work involves gathering documentation from a variety of sources in response to requests; preparing information for correspondence, reports, and documents; and maintaining up-to-date inmate records. You will process incoming and outgoing inmate transfer records, photograph and fingerprint inmates, review court orders, and calculate sentence computations. It is important to review, analyze, and interpret information, as well as adhere to established policies and procedures to ensure the accuracy of inmate records. You be trained to make independent work decisions, while under close supervision of a Records Supervisor, until the required level of work difficulty is achieved.

Work Schedule and Additional Information :
- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are 8 : 00 AM to 4 : 00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- Salary : Selected candidates who are new to employment with the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $39,785.00 (before taxes).
