What are the responsibilities and job description for the ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT position at State of Rhode Island?
Responsible for the collection and analysis of Court-ordered, supervised, random and immediate screens for male Family Court litigants; schedule appointments and contact individuals for screening; maintain records of screens for Court hearings; meet with Judges and Magistrates to explain testing procedures and to testify in Court when required; maintain inventory of drug testing supplies and equipment. Responsible for the administrative/clerical work in the unit; as well as for performing any and all duties that may be assigned by the Family Court Chief of Staff.
Graduation from an accredited high school, including or supplemented by courses in data processing; experience such as may have been gained through employment requiring knowledge of general office duties, or, a combination of education and experience equivalent to the above requirements. Preferred candidates will have a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Criminal Justice, Psychology, Toxicology, or other related discipline or experience which may have been gained through employment in a responsible position working with juveniles and parents; or any combination of education or experience that shall be substantially equivalent to the above education and experience.
Salary : $53,964 - $61,245
