What are the responsibilities and job description for the Adjunct Instructor- Expanded Duty Dental Assisting position at State of South Carolina?
Teaches Clinical/Lab sessions for Expanded Duty Dental Assisting(EDDA) and DAT 154 Dental Procedures. Works with students and teaches the basic operatory procedures for dental patient care, including infection control procedures, identifying dental instruments for operative procedures, passing instruments, isolation of dentition and assisting the dentist. Associate’sdegree is required for clinical or lab courses.
Teaches Didactic (Lecture) Course Sections: Dental Morphology, Pathology, Pharmacology, Medical Emergencies, Dental Health Education, Ethics and Professionalism. Bachelor’s degree is required for didactic course sections.
Positions are open to Dental Hygienists with current CDA credentials and appropriate knowledge in assigned course content.
