The State Law Enforcement Division (SLED) is searching to fill an Administrative Assistant position in our Forensic Services - Administration Department.
General Responsibility
Provide administrative support to the Forensic Services Laboratory - assigned primary departments but overall team assistance.

Working knowledge of computer information systems/Microsoft Office suite is preferred.

General Responsibility
Provide administrative support to the Forensic Services Laboratory - assigned primary departments but overall team assistance.
Specific Duties
- Responsible for administrative duties for assigned departments. These duties include but are not limited to: handling department phone calls and messages, assisting with department FOIA requests, documenting subpoenas in LIMS, assisting with mailing and faxing department reports and correspondence, assisting with department call lists, case file management and archival, assisting with building switchboard duties, distributing mail, and serving as a liaison between departments and customers.
- Responsible for ordering or assisting with ordering reagents and other supplies, assist with inventory as necessary.
- Assist departmental supervisors for DNA Database and DNA Casework with statistics/data entry, as needed.
- Assist with batched administrative duties as needed by the forensics administrative team as assigned by supervisor.
- High school diploma required.
- Ability to effectively plan and organize work activities and prioritize task completion according to schedules and goals.
- Must possess accurate typing and computer skills.
- Must be able to effectively communicate with law enforcement, solicitors and the public.
- Must have the ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
Working knowledge of computer information systems/Microsoft Office suite is preferred.
