What are the responsibilities and job description for the American Sign Language Adjunct Instructor position at State of South Carolina?
Serves as an adjunct instructor for the Child & Youth Studies Department.
Classes taught can and may include:
- American Sign Language I, II, III, IV
- Careers in American Sign Language
- Linguistics of American Sign Language
- Deaf History and Culture
The schedule includes day and/or evening classes, face-to-face, online, hybrid, or SOM (Synchronous Online Learning). Course location may include: Thornley, Palmer, Mt. Pleasant, or Dorchester Campus during the Fall, Spring, and Summer Semesters.
This position requires a master’s degree in ASL, Communication Disorders, or Hearing Impairment with a certification in American Sign Language.
