Responsibilities
- You will serve as a lead developer to analyze, design, and implement moderate to complex agency systems.
- You will design, implement, and maintain enhancements to agency internal and external web applications using Microsoft .NET (C# language) specification, SQL Server, and innovative design principles which may include MVC programming model, APIs, SQL Server reporting services and Jquery.
- You will perform research and analysis for project proposals, software and system modifications, and new projects.
- You will ensure that all development and new system modifications are in compliance with agency and state guidelines.
- You will lead and develop subordinate staff and ensure team members are trained on relevant systems and applications.
- You will perform a variety of other duties including preparing documentation and user manuals and work with internal and external stakeholders to request feedback to revised system functionality or newly implemented changes.
Minimum Qualifications
- A high school diploma and work experience in the modification and maintenance of system programs, the design and development of system software, or the testing and debugging of system software. An associate or a bachelor’s degree in a related field may substitute for the required work experience.
- A bachelor's degree in computer science or related area and four (4) years' experience in system management, including two (2) years' experience with Visual Studio .NET, SQL Server, C# web applications
- Working as a supervisor of development activities.
- Knowledge of computer system analysis, design, testing, debugging and maintenance techniques and practices.
- Extensive knowledge of computer programming languages.
- Ability to prepare technical reports in a clear and concise manner.
- Ability to work effectively with users, vendors and staff members.
- Ability to plan, direct, instruct and review the work of technical personnel.
- Position works in office environment with long hours of sitting and standing.
- May be required to bend, stoop, kneel and lift objects up to 75 lbs.
- May be required to work outside of normal Agency business hours, such as evenings and weekends, to meet agency and customer service needs and demands.
- Daily use of computer and technology equipment.
