Job Responsibilities
To provide leadership, training, and daily instruction to Whitten Center Housekeeping Department employees. Following pertinent ICF regulations, departmental directives and Whitten Center Internal Procedures.
1. Provide oversight and direction to daily custodial activities Ensure adequate custodial coverage of all buildings following ICF regulations departmental directives and Whitten Center Internal Procedures,
2. Perform regularly scheduled housekeeping/sanitation inspections to ensure that high standards of cleanliness are maintained. Report inspection findings to immediate supervisor and, if needed, plans for improvements of corrections.
3. Develop staff potential through effective training in efficient custodial techniques and the safe and effective use of cleaning compounds and equipment. Build team spirit through strong leadership skills and effective use of staff meetings.
4. Maintains accountability of supplies and equipment. Ensure adequate and appropriate materials are on-hand to perform necessary custodial activities, ensure that mechanical equipment is properly serviced and maintained as required. Demonstrate fiscal responsibility by not exceeding designated budget for supplies. equipment, and overtime.
5. Perform and/or participate in Quality Improvement activities as assigned by supervisor or Whitten Center Administrator.
6. Assists with other job duties as needed.
