The person in this position will meet the requirements of VirtualSC’s Online Teaching Standards in the Instruction domain by meeting the mastery level in knowing the learners, demonstrate content knowledge, present instructional content, ensure appropriate pacing, select resources and activities, motivate students, question students, provide academic feedback, and setting expectations. Meet the requirements of VirtualSC's Online Teaching Standards in the Environment domain by meeting the mastery level in managing student behavior, establish the online course environment, and maintain a respectful culture. Meet the requirements of VirtualSC's Online Teaching Standards in the Professionalism domain by meeting the mastery level in growing and developing professionally, reflect on teaching practice, and manage courses. Participate in the course design and revision process either formally, as subject matter expert (SME) or a second reader, or informally; Participate in internal course review and standards alignment processes. Perform other duties as assigned. This position is located in the Office of VirtualSC.

A Bachelor's degree with certification as a professional teacher in the subject area to be taught by the South Carolina Department of Education.
