With our Agency's mission to support the recovery of people with mental illnesses, we provide a complete array of medical and support services for children, adults, and families throughout South Carolina. 
                 
  • This position is located at the Aiken-Barnwell Mental Health Center, 1135 Gregg Highway, Aiken, SC 29803.
  • This position will require travel between both Aiken and Barnwell Counties. 
Job Purpose 
  • Carries out the services of the supported employment program by assisting patients in obtaining and maintaining competitive employment that is consistent with their vocational goals and recovery.
Job Functions
  • Maintains a direct service time (direct clinical services to patients).
  • Ensures caseload meets supported employment fidelity requirements and provides only employment services to assigned caseload.
  • Ensure fidelity of model.
  • Directly places clients in diverse and different competitive employment based on patient's preferences, strengths, abilities and needs and in jobs that have permanent status paying at least minimum wage.
  • Assists in job development in local community by providing education and support to employers.
  • Carries out all phases of employment service including intake, assessment, job placement, job coaching, and follow-along supports. 
  • Majority of employment services are provided in the community.
  • Completes clinical documentation using collaborative documentation and according to SCDMH policy and procedures.
  • Complies with the Corporate Compliance Policy and Risk Management Plan.
  • Pursues professional development through collegial consultation, continuing educational activities and professional licensure in SC.
  • Participates in group supervision, collaborates with treatment team members and SCVRD and educates community about IPS Program.
  • Ensures that patient satisfaction and symptom reduction are measured and reported on a regular, on-going basis.
  • Performs other duties as needed.
State Requirement: 
  • A high school diploma and relevant human services or social services experience. 
Agency Requirements: 
  • A bachelor's degree and one (1) year of experience in counseling
    and /or behavior modification program experience.
Agency Preferences:
  • One year post graduate experience in counseling and/or behavior modification program.
  • Knowledge of intensive in-home or community services model.
  • Understanding of abnormal psychology and treatment.
  • Supervision provided by the Community Rehabilitation and Support Program Manager.
  • Employee will need to work independently as well as with CRS Team.
  • Requires ability to lift 5lbs.
  • Operate a state vehicle.
  • Flexible schedule
  • Will require travel in Aiken and Barnwell Counties. 
  • Position is considered essential and may be called back during crises/disasters/emergencies.
  • Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish (or another language) are a plus.

Salary : $32,686 - $60,471
