York Technical College, a member of the South Carolina Technical and Comprehensive Education System, is a public, two-year institution of higher education that offers a variety of associate degrees, diplomas, and certificates. Through maximizing student success, the College seeks to contribute to the economic growth and development of York, Lancaster, and Chester counties and of the State.
Clinic Management and Operations Directs business activities of the clinic to ensure efficient operations. Maintains patient records, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality. Handles financial transactions billing processes to maintain financial integrity of the clinic. Schedules and confirms patient appointments to optimize clinic workflow and patient satisfaction.
Communication and Administrative Support Answers and manages telephone calls for the department and dental clinic, directing inquiries and messages appropriately. Provides administrative support for faculty, including the development of course materials, accurate entry of clinic grades, and maintenance of relevant spreadsheets. Records minutes for all department and advisory board meetings, ensuring detailed documentation and follow-up on action items.
Resource Management Orders clinical and laboratory supplies as directed to ensure the clinic is well-stocked and operational. Assists with the maintenance and inventory of clinical/office supplies and equipment, collaborating with the department chair to manage resources effectively.
Community and Student Engagement Assists with instruction and evaluation of students in the dental software, enhancing their learning experience and operational competence. Participates in community outreach activities, such as Give Kids a Smile, Summer Dental Clinic, and Health Fairs, to promote the clinic and engage with the community. Supports accreditation processes and participates in orientation and onboarding activities to maintain compliance and facilitate staff integration.
Performs other duties as required, including but not limited to participation in special projects and initiatives that support the clinic’s goals and objectives.
