We are seeking a qualified Early Childhood Development Instructor to join our team at the State of South Carolina. The ideal candidate will possess a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Development and Education or a related field, with a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the subject area. Three years of college-level teaching experience are preferred. The successful applicant will have knowledge of principles and procedures pertaining to higher education, particularly teaching methodologies, as well as standard business practices and accepted protocol for areas of responsibility.
The instructor will be responsible for developing and maintaining course documentation, selecting textbooks, maintaining audio-visual materials, and ensuring effective class scheduling. They will also provide students with clear course syllabi, grading policies, and other relevant information; relate instructional examples and illustrations; pace instruction over the semester; and return test results in a timely manner. Additionally, they will maintain office hours, publicize their availability, refer students to other resources, and meet with students in a timely manner.
