You will be working with the data management system and ancillary equipment to store, manage, and produce technically defensible ambient air quality data and providing subject-matter expertise on the air quality program.Job Functions: Perform data review and data verification of air monitoring and meteorological data to include Level 4 review as requested. Document and report suspected monitor malfunctions.Document corrective actions and data quality related decisions. Submit, review, and verify interval data to be maintained in AQS databases ensuring proper documentation of missing, invalid, or qualified data.Train new staff members and regional staff, if necessary, on section procedures and Division documents. Coordinate Data Management team member annual review and sign off for relevant SOPs.Assist in the verification and validation of site and data records for laboratory generated data, updates the data values to the AQS database, and creates reports for management. Reviewing, revising, and creating standard operating procedures and other quality documents as required; complete all training required by the Division; and complete all necessary administrative tasks (PCAS, SCEIS related functions, etc.) as required and requested.Perform other relevant duties as requested.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
A bachelor’s degree in a related technical field and at least one (1) year of environmental health or related experience;OR an associate degree in a related technical field and at least three (3) years of environmental health or related experience;OR a high school diploma or GED, and at least five (5) years of environmental health or related experience. Note: Degrees in a related technical field include, but are not limited to, Earth sciences, chemistry, biology, physics, soil science, environmental science, mathematics, etc.ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Able to provide outstanding customer service in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Work effectively in a team-oriented environment and encourage positive working relationships with coworkers, industry, and government officials. Ability to successfully complete prescribed technical coursework and pass any test relevant to the position within the probationary period or trial period. May require: Occasional travel throughout the state. Occasional overnight travel. Subject to on call or call back 24/7 due to emergencies.
