Responsibilities
- You will conduct routine and opening inspections of offices, facilities, and/or locations of licensees to ensure compliance with applicable statutes and regulations.
- You will answer questions that licensees have about the inspection process.
- You will prepare inspection reports and explain to licensees the basis for the corrective actions required.
- You will conduct follow-up inspections detailing whether the required corrective actions were taken.
- You will prepare and present documentation to the Investigative Review Committee (IRC) for non-compliance situations.
- You will work closely with Office of Disciplinary Counsel (ODC) and testify at hearings, as needed.
- You will ensure information, documents and reports are properly uploaded into the Agency’s system.
Minimum Qualifications
- A high school diploma and work experience that is directly related to the area of employment. (A bachelor's degree may be substituted for the required work experience).
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior regulatory or experience performing inspections.
- Ability to conduct inspections, analyze facts, and reach conclusions.
- Knowledge of the laws and regulations applicable to the job.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with officials and the general public.
- Ability to present clear, concise and comprehensive oral and written reports.
- Considerable knowledge and skill in the use of office equipment and computers.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
Other Requirements
- Must have a valid driver's license and 10-year MVR that complies with State and Agency Fleet guidelines.
- Must be able to drive a state or personal vehicle to complete assigned job duties.
- May require extended periods of driving, sitting, and visiting facilities that are non-ADA complaint.
- May need to bend, stoop, kneel and lift up to 50 lbs.
