What are the responsibilities and job description for the IT/Communications Intern position at State of South Carolina?
As an Intern, you will work closely with our IT and communications staff to help update and improve our website, assist in creating digital content and support ongoing communications efforts. You will have the chance to contribute to projects that are essential to our agency’s online presence while learning about industry best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with website design and content updates using [tools/platforms.
- Support the development of engaging content for our website and social media platforms.
- Collaborate with agency divisions to ensure consistent branding and messaging across all digital channels.
- Monitor and analyze website traffic using analytics tools to suggest improvements.
- Contribute to the creation of email campaigns, newsletters and blog posts.
- Assist in developing strategies to enhance user experience and site performance.
- Current student pursuing a degree in Web Design, Communications, Marketing, Graphic Design, or a related field.
- Strong interest in website design and digital communications.
- Basic knowledge of web development tools.
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) or similar design software is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
All Internships: Housing is the responsibility of selected candidate and no stipend is provided.
Statehouse Grounds Internships: State surface level parking is available daily on a first come, first serve basis. If all spaces are otherwise taken for the day, the intern is responsible for all costs associated with parking (meters).
Salary : $20
