The IT Security Analyst Performs The Following Functions
A Bachelor's degree in information technology systems, computer science, or related field and experience in information technology systems or related area. Relevant experience may be substituted on a year for year basis.

The IT Security Analyst Performs The Following Functions
- Provides expertise in the further development and maintenance of the college’s IT security program and procedures within a wide range of complexity levels. Establishes IT security standards for the college.
- Performs daily monitoring of security related consoles, logs, reports to detect suspicious activity, unauthorized access to IT assets, or other malicious behaviors.
- Maintains and monitors compliancy to established security standards such as device encryption, software updates, data backups, etc.
- Conducts or collaborates with third parties to conduct IT related table top drills, employee IT security training, phishing tests, penetration tests, and other security assessments.
- Consults with management and other technical and security subject matter experts in identifying, selecting, and implementing technical controls.
- Ensures compliance to regulatory requirements applicable to the college, including FERPA, HIPPA, GLBA Safeguards Rule, FTC Red Flags Rule, and other federal and state regulations.
- Other duties as they relate to information security as assigned.
A Bachelor's degree in information technology systems, computer science, or related field and experience in information technology systems or related area. Relevant experience may be substituted on a year for year basis.
Preferred Qualifications
- Four or more years of professional experience reviewing information vulnerabilities, intrusion investigation, and/or proactive information security measures.
- Familiarity with NIST cybersecurity framework
- CISSP certification desired
