Job ResponsibilitiesThis position is located at Department of Mental Health-Columbia Area Mental Health Center, Adult Clinic Services, CAMHC #384.Under general supervision, provide primary monitoring of the Adult Clinic Services Medication line, accepting calls and voice mails related to prescription concerns and calling in Rx when needed. Counseling and coaching patients on how to take their medications when needed, and scheduling follow up PMA's for patients who need to address medication concerns.Collects, organizes, and records data and information in each patient's medical record according to quality assurance standards, CARF guidelines and corporate compliance standards.Serve as secondary back up for the completion of labs and the review of lab reports.Regularly attends and participates in treatment team meetings as time permits, supervisory meetings, nursing in-service, and serves on Center and DMH committees as assigned. Willing assists with medical and psychiatric needs of patients as called upon.Minimum and Additional RequirementsState Requirements : Successful completion of an approved nursing education program for professional nursing or an equivalent course of study from an approved nursing education program. Licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse by the South Carolina State Board of Nursing.Agency Requirements : Must be licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse by the South Carolina State Board of Nursing; experience in direct clinical service delivery.Note : When Agency Requirements are indicated, applicants must also meet the Agency Requirements.Preferred QualificationsCAMHC Prefers : Extensive knowledge of the symptomology of the varying forms of mental illness.
