About Coastal Regional Center
Coastal Regional Center is a residential facility of the South Carolina Department of Disabilities and Special Needs located in Summerville, SC serving residents with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse, this position provides daily nursing care, training, activities, and treatment to the people who live at the Regional Centers in accordance with all licensing and certification requirements, the South Carolina Nursing Practice Act, and South Carolina Department of Disabilities and Special Needs Policies and Procedures.
1. Administers routine oral, subcutaneous, and intramuscular medications as well as treatments in accordance with nursing protocol, facility policies, and procedures.
2. Monitors health conditions of the individuals and reports findings to medical provider and appropriate staff. Assists physician/practitioner with examinations and treatments as needed.
3. Maintains a safe and sanitary living and working environment.
4. Ensures accountability and protection from harm for all individuals through appropriate and thorough documentation.
5. Reviews Monthly Medication Administration Record (MAR) and 90-day recertification orders, completes healthcare records, AIMS/DISCUS, swallowing and SAOM Evaluations. Assists with weights and heights as ordered and indicated by policy and procedures. Properly documents as needed.
6. Performs and participates in activities as otherwise assigned by the supervisor to include, but not limited to, participation in on-call rotation procedure.
The salary range for this position is $52,000 to $57,396 and will be based on verified work-related nursing experienceas indicated on the candidate’s application. This position is eligible for up to $3.75/hour shift differential for applicableshifts! Sign-on bonus for eligible candidates will be distributed after one, six, and twelve months of successful continuous Full-Time employment.

Licensure as a registered nurse by the State Board of Nursing for South Carolina. Some positions require certification in Basic Life Support and/or Basic/Advanced Cardiac Life Support. Some positions may require possession of a valid driver’s license.
