In this position you will be responsible for the following: Be responsible for the maintenance of all buildings, equipment, plumbing, vehicles, and grounds at the Evaluation Center, providing direct care and/or recommending outside specialists as appropriate, supervising two full-time employees in the process. Maintain inventory of all furnishings, equipment, and arrange for proper removal, of items as needed.Maintain Evaluation Center and Muscular Development Center equipment, plumbing, grounds, and other property using outside specialists as appropriate. Keep storage areas and equipment areas clean, organized and secure. Maintain all machinery, perform preventive maintenance and replace parts as necessary. Maintain list of vendors to make major repairs of equipment at Center when necessary. Conduct general housekeeping when needed for evaluation and muscular development centers. Be on call for after hours Emergencies at the complex one week per month, maintain current contact information, and monitor frequently for emergencies.Maintain the Muscular Development Center's (MDC) swimming pool and hot tub to include maintaining proper chemical levels in each. Certified Pool Operator certification required and maintained. Coordinate the maintenance of the MDC locker rooms, restrooms, weight room, PT area, pump rooms, mechanical room, pool deck, pool, spa and various offices. Maintain all pool equipment, make repairs and contact appropriate vender when specialist required for repairs.Follow safety practices and actively participate as a member of the Safety committee to ensure the compliance of all safety regulations in the workplace. Maintain a safe and clean work environment as reflected in the safety audit.Assist staff as needed to transport supplies, equipment, residents and move items within the facility. Keep vehicles fueled and properly maintained and cleaned. Assist staff with the transport and moving of surplus property when needed
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
High School diploma and four years of experience in equipment, building, and grounds maintenance. Supervisory experience required. One week per month of after hours on call duty required. Good driving record required.Able to supervise helpers & plan daily work schedules, be self-managing and responsible for all work done. Able to keep drain lines clear, install electrical equipment, install electric switches & make repairs to electrically operated equipment. Must know how to make plumbing repairs/install new parts. Must know how to make minor repairs to mowers, hedge cutters & other mechanical equipment. Able to do painting, floor stripping/waxing & minor carpentry.
