This position is located with the South Carolina Department of Mental Health, Beckman Center for Mental Health Services.  Position will be based in the Greenwood but will also provide services throughout the Center's catchment area.  

Multidimensional Family Therapy (MDFT) is an integrated, comprehensive, treatment for teens and young adults that is family-centered.  The MDFT program provides home and community-based services to teens and young adults and their families.  MDFT addresses substance use, delinquency, antisocial and aggressive behaviors, mental health disorders and school problems.  MDFT improves parental and family functioning in an effort to prevent out-of-home placement.  This position will be responsible for providing therapeutic services to those identified families.  Therapeutic services will be aimed at strengthening parenting skills, eliminating alcohol and drug use, improving academic functioning, reducing anti-social behaviors, etc., as well as providing community education/awareness.  


State Requirements:  A master's degree in guidance, counseling, the social sciences or a related field.  

Agency Requirements:  A valid driver's license.  

Note:   If any Agency Requirements are listed above, applicants must also meet those requirements to be considered for the position.
 One year post master's experience.  

Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish (or another language) are a plus.     
 
 Must qualify for credentialing and privileging as a mental health professional in accordance with Quality Assurance standards and with concurrence by DMH Office of Quality Management.
