Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
- Provides outpatient mental health services to TCCMHC patients, primarily adults, using diverse treatment interventions and methods, such as : individual, family, and group therapies, assessments, crisis interventions, and case management. Meets agency patient care hours standards.
- Ensures all assigned caseloads and clinical records are in accordance with SCDMH Quality Assurance (QA) standards. Adheres to Corporate Compliance policies and procedures. Acts in a culturally competent manner. Shall comply with the South Carolina Department of Mental Health Compliance Plan and all legal responsibilities and requirements in performing their job duties.
- Utilizes collaborative documentation to facilitate effective and efficient provision of therapeutic services.
- Attends and participates in clinical treatment team staffing as scheduled. Attends total staffing, total clinical training, and CAF meetings. Participates in assigned intra-agency committees.
- Promotes Center programs and services through outreach, education, and participation in Center-sponsored and community events.
Minimum and Additional Requirements
State Minimum Requirement : A master's degree in guidance, counseling, the social sciences or a related field.
Agency Minimum Requirement : A master's degree in guidance, counseling, the social sciences or a related field and professional experience in human services or social services program. Must have a valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
Licensure eligible in specific field of study. Knowledge of and ability to assess for treatment needs, develop complex treatment plans, and provide effective clinical interventions, including crisis intervention and individual, group, and family therapies. Knowledge of casework practices. Ability to organize and maintain a caseload. Knowledge of legal principles and practices. Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws or regulations pertaining to social service programs.
Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish (or another language) are a plus.
Additional Comments
The selected candidate may have routine local travel between three (3) counties served, and occasional in-state travel with minimum overnight travel expected. Physical requirements include, but are not limited to, sitting and / or standing for long periods of time and the ability to lift up to twenty (20) pounds.
