Join our Team!Assists in the installation, repair and troubleshooting of network cabling and devices, including but not limited to CAT6 and fiber optic cabling and jacks, telephones, wireless access points, security cameras, and emergency call boxes. Assists in the installation of equipment for network closets and data centers, including switches, routers, and servers. Performs adds, moves, and changes as necessary for any cabling and associated equipment on any of the seven campuses. Assists network administrators and engineers with network documentation, configuration, and deployments. Performs other duties as necessary.Midlands Technical College is dedicated to providing excellent service to its students, employees, and the community.This position is located on the Midlands Technical College Beltline Campus in the Information Resource Management department.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Associate degree in computer science, computer technology, or related field and two (2) years’ experience in troubleshooting of network infrastructure, cabling, and equipment; or a high school diploma and four (4) years’ experience.
