What you will do:
You will work on our Processing & Posting Services Team, performing all duties relating to incoming and outgoing mail for SCDOR.
Primary job duties include:
- Identifying, sorting, and logging incoming mail.
- Maintaining the physical security of the SCDOR facility when accepting outside deliveries.
- Researching mail pieces for proper distribution.
- Handling various administrative aspects of Division mail to include sorting, researching, indexing, and preparing for processing.
- Retrieving outgoing mail pieces or checks for SCDOR from other companies/agencies, SCDOR District Offices, or Main Office Mail Stations.
- Affixing correct documentation and postage ensuring the most cost effective methods are utilized.
- Preparing mail to be sent to SCDOR District Offices via the agency’s shipping service.
- Uses applicable systems to reach and review work items for edits and processing, updating taxpayer accounts and/or correspondence.
- Assisting with reviewing and maintaining reports and procedures.
Either:
- A high school diploma and two years of work experience that is directly related to the area of employment OR
- A bachelor’s degree
Additional Requirements
- Must be capable of lifting and moving items up to 20 pounds.
- Must possess a valid SC driver’s license.
- Must consent to an annual driving record check.
- Must operate a mail x-ray scanner.
- Considerable knowledge of basic mathematical practices and skills.
- Experience with office and administrative support.
- Experience working in a postal department.

- Hours: On-site work hours are 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Monday – Friday (37.5 hours per week).

Salary : $37,873 - $42,796
