Job Duties:
- The Child Welfare Services Case Manager Assistant provides daily assistance to CWS Case Managers in the Upstate Adoptions office in the areas of Foster Care and Adoption case management responsibilities.
- Maintains electronic case files (in agency designated system) accurately and times for documentation and auditing purposes; safeguards confidentiality of files and information in files.
- Performs administrative duties for CWS Adoption Case Managers in order to guarantee timeliness of paperwork and records requests.
- Requests case records as needed and upload received records into electronic case files (in agency designated system) and ensuring a hard file is made and organized.
- Assists with caring for children who are in the office as needed, transport as needed.
- Participates in training, supervisory meetings and staff meetings as required.
- Ensures that personal identifying information (PII) is properly used, accessed, gathered, shared and disposed. Protects the agency networks and applications by safeguarding systems, equipment and data.
- Performs other relevant duties as assigned.
- Performs Red Cross Shelter duty or other emergency shelter duty/ services as directed.
