With our Agency's mission to support the recovery of people with mental illnesses, we provide a complete array of medical and support services for children, adults, and families throughout South Carolina.
This position is located at the Department of Mental Health, Spartanburg Office, 250 Dewey Avenue, Spartanburg, SC 29303
Under limited supervision provides culturally sensitive services of Individual Therapy, Group Therapy, Crisis Assessment, PRS, and case management services to assigned clients in the Rehab Services Program.
Responsibilities of the Mental Health Professional I include but are not limited to:
- Provides Assessment, Individual and Group Services, Crisis Intervention, PRS, and Family Therapy to assigned clients.
- Functions as part of treatment team.
- Assists with coordinating care for patients at Rosewood ALF, Cantrell's RCF, and Draymont Ridge apartments, and acts as liaison between MHC and these facilities.
State Minimum Requirements:
A master's degree in guidance, counseling, the social sciences or a related field.

Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish (or another language) are a plus.
