This position is located at the Department of Mental Health, Spartanburg Office, 250 Dewey Avenue, Spartanburg, SC 29303
Job Responsibilities: For the purpose of the Individual Placement and Support program, the Mental Health Counselor I will provide intensive assessment and clinical psychotherapy integrated with supportive employment services to individuals experiencing severe and persistent mental health conditions, with the goal of helping individuals seek and secure employment, identify and address barriers to obtaining and maintaining employment, improve employability and employment options, and remain stably employed.
- MHC completes program-specific clinical assessments and career profiles, assessments and career profiles, assists clients to identify areas of strength and interest as related to employment assists clients to identify and overcome barriers to employment, and utilizes evidence -based clinical therapeutic techniques to help clients balance mental health needs and employment.
- MHC collaborates with PSS to facilitate use community -based resources in the preparation of employment, or in the satisfaction of employment requirements.
State Minimum Requirements: A master's degree in guidance, counseling, the social sciences or a related field.

Salary : $38,985 - $72,134
