Job Responsibilities
Under limited supervision, performs investigative work for the Internet Crimes Against Children Section, including investigating CyberTips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and conducting investigations involving the sexual exploitation and solicitation of minors.
- Works to investigate CyberTipline reports received from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), focusing on those unable to be referred to outside agencies.
- Works closely with ICAC personnel within the office and around the state as they conduct investigations involving the sexual exploitation and solicitation of minors.
- Investigates, reconciles, or disposes of complaints, inquiries, or violations of laws regarding Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC); conducts surveillance of businesses, residences, and individuals; examines accounts and related records; assists prosecutors in trial preparation.
- Prepares investigative reports for use by office administration and ICAC prosecutors, as well as testify in court concerning the findings of their investigations.
- Presents to law enforcement and the public on occasion.
- Assists with other related duties as assigned.

Minimum and Additional Requirements
A high school diploma and fifteen years or more as a law enforcement officer with experience conducting investigations and / or other law enforcement duties; a bachelor's degree can substitute for four years of experience.
Necessary Requirement : Class I Law Enforcement Certification. or another state's equivalent certification.
