What are the responsibilities and job description for the Surgical Tech Adjunct Instructor position at State of South Carolina?
Assist and monitor students in clinical and/or lab experiences. Coordinate/assist with clinical course required in accordance with the established syllabi. Assess students as established in their affective, cognitive, and psychomotor skills as well as surgical technology. Work with clinical preceptors to assure accurate and timely submission of evaluations. Ensure safe practices of surgical technology students. Evaluate and monitor student performance.
Associate degree required. Be a graduate of an education program in surgical technology accredited by a nationally recognized programmatic accreditation agency.
Possess a CST credential in the field of surgical technology through a national certification program that is accredited by the National Commission on Certifying Agencies (NCCA).
Have a minimum total of two years of experience, either in the operating room scrub role or as an instructor in surgical technology, or a combination of both, within the past five years.This is a temporary, part-time position.
