SCETV amplifies South Carolina voices, provides educational experiences, and strengthens communities, while working to create a stronger, more connected, and informed South Carolina. SCETV provides national and local content to classrooms via internet services Knowitall.org and PBS Learning Media. SCETV also provides teacher training and re-certification in face-to-face and online settings.
Job Purpose
The Administrative Assistant plays a critical role in supporting the efficient operations of the Communications and Fundraising departments by overseeing the front desk, managing visitors and responding to inquiries. This role is also responsible for managing incoming phone calls, updating station greetings and ensuring timely voicemail responses. In addition, the Administrative Assistant handles administrative duties related to the Communications and Fundraising Departments. Furthermore, the Administrative Assistant aids in internal communications, content tracking and employee engagement events.
Job Duties
Oversees and manages visitors to the front desk of SCETV by assisting and working with appropriate department heads to generate responses to inquiries. Troubleshoots inquiries and assists with responses. Manages all incoming phone calls on the station's main telephone line. Updates the station greeting to reflect current events/productions and checks and responds to voicemail messages on a timely basis.
Complete all purchase requests, purchasing card purchases and travel reimbursements/requests for the Communication and Fundraising Departments in an accurate and timely manner.
Provides support for internal communications, including compiling and planning fore-newsletters and internal online databases. Attend meetings and record notes for meetings. Assist with tracking internal content pipeline for planning communications around upcoming programming.
Assists with internal employee engagement events, coordinating with Communications staff and providing support as necessary. Includes other duties as assigned.
Minimum And Additional Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications
Some administrative or customer service experience is preferred.
