JOB PURPOSE:
The purpose of the Validation Analyst is to protect the validity and integrity of the Event Reporting Systems (ERS) data by ensuring that agency standards and protocols operate as intended.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Adheres to the validation plan for reviewing ERS.Ensures that the ERS processes and procedures meet operating standards.
Executes validation activities as intended.
Including the review all submitted event repots for merging and validation compliance.
Validate the accuracy and consistency of data collected in ERS.
Ensures that the submitted data is complete, accurate, and consistent.
Follow up validation reviews as needed.
Identify issues or discrepancies during the validation process.
Work with relevant teams to troubleshoot and resolve validation issues.
Assist with projects that improve data quality and efficiency.
Escalate unresolved issues or critical problems to Validation Leadership.
Performs other related duties as assigned that supports the division or mission of the agency.
STATE MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
A high school diploma and relevant program experience.ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to comprehend and apply SCDJJ policies and procedures.
Ability to communicate clearly with agency stakeholders, team members and management.
Ability to work well with a team.
Ability to identify issues and propose solutions effectively.
Attention to detail to ensure that agency data is accurate, complete, and consistent.
Excellent written, analytical and oral skills.
Proficient in the use of computers, MS Office and Excel, and DJJ’s proprietary software systems (ERS).
This position performs job duties relating to the custody, control, transportation, or recapture of youth within the jurisdiction of the Department of Juvenile Justice, and the employee may have direct and indirect contact with youth within the jurisdiction of the Department of Juvenile Justice. Training applicable to these duties will be provided.
Routine travel throughout the state possible.
PREFERRED AGENCY REQUIREMENTS:
A bachelor's degree and professional experience in Human Services, Criminal Justice, or Social Sciences, which may include law enforcement, military, or Juvenile Corrections.
