What are the responsibilities and job description for the Welding Instructor position at State of South Carolina?
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, teaching welding and related courses by providing systematically planned and delivered instruction, designing and developing of curriculum, evaluating student performance, advising students, assisting with recruitment and retention, submitting reports in timely manner, maintaining welding lab, participating in professional development, and building relationship with local industries. Teaching assignments may include curriculum courses taught during days and evenings on campus as well as off sites. Candidates must be able to function in an environment characterized by continual changes in technology.
Bachelor's degree in welding technology or a closely related field; or Associate degree in welding technology or a closely related field plus current welding experience.
Teaching in post-secondary education and certification by the NCCER (National Center for Construction Education and Research) is preferred
