This position provides administrative assistance to a park manager and operates the department point of sale system; functions as a team leader over seasonal gate and campground attendants; coordinating campground reservations; ordering and issuing licenses and permits; collecting, auditing, and depositing revenue; compiling statistics for monthly reports; ordering supplies and materials; preparing vouchers; etc., to carry out the business of the park. Additionally, the incumbent maintains park facilities, equipment, and grounds; functions as a team leader over seasonal crews; performs structural repairs and enhancements; has the ability to run park owned equipment and provide training to others; performs preventive maintenance and repairs on equipment; landscaping; pruning and trimming trees; performs safety inspections; etc., to maintain the park in the best and safest condition possible.

- experience with computer programs including Outlook, Excel, Adobe Sign, PowerPoint, and Word, with the ability to efficiently manage tasks using these applications;
- availability to work weekends, nights, and/or holidays as required by the schedule;
- ability to work effectively within a diverse team of seasonal employees, while managing varying schedules and ensuring smooth operations;
- exceptional customer service skills are essential for interacting with visitors and team members;
- ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, handling tasks such as lawn mowing, weed trimming, snow removal, and tree trimming;
- experience in electrical work, plumbing, painting, and light carpentry is beneficial and will help with a variety of maintenance tasks;
- energetic, motivated, and eager to learn new skills and take on new challenges.
This position is a stepping stone to a Park Manager position, which requires extensive knowledge in:
- plumbing and electrical troubleshooting;
- housekeeping and janitorial cleaning;
- equipment operation, including skid loaders, commercial mowers, and general facility management.
- ability to work independently with minimal supervision when necessary, while maintaining focus and productivity;
- strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to challenges, capable of troubleshooting and finding effective solutions;
- eagerness to learn, follow direction, and contribute valuable input to team efforts;
- comfortable and effective in a team environment, collaborating with others to achieve common goals;
- proficient in an office environment, with strong organizational, communication, and multitasking abilities;
- experience in plumbing, electrical work, equipment operation, and/or boating is preferred, providing a broader skill set for varied tasks.
