Position Title: Intern - Aberdeen Region Traffic Engineer

Minimum Salary: $21.66 (Non-Engineer Students) and $24.42 (Engineer Students)
The intern will be involved in doing traffic studies, layout no passing zones, CADD work for pavement marking plans and testing of pavement markings. Intern will further their knowledge and abilities in Civil Engineering. Specific duties would be testing retroreflectivity of pavement markings, spot speed studies, gathering information for warranting turn lanes and traffic signals, and other traffic related duties. Some travel and possible over night stays may be required as part of these duties. We are looking for both Engineering students and non-Engineering students.
Qualifications
Applicant must be enrolled as a part-time/full-time student at a college, university, or technical institute at the time they apply. By the start of the internship, the student should have completed one year (nine months) of their chosen program.
All students are encouraged to apply, but preference may be given to applicants with a standing of junior/senior, South Dakota residents, and students of South Dakota institutions.

- APPLICANT MUST BE A CURRENT PART-TIME OR FULL-TIME STUDENT (MINIMUM OF 6 CREDIT HOURS) IN UPCOMING SEMESTER OR IN THE IMMEDIATELY PRECEDING SEMESTER.
