Job Summary
The State of South Dakota is seeking a motivated Landscaping Specialist to join our team for a seasonal opportunity. As a key member of our maintenance crew, you will be responsible for maintaining all park areas and facilities to management standards.
About the Role
- Maintenance of park grounds, buildings, facilities, and equipment
- Custodial duties including cleaning of comfort stations and outdoor toilets, emptying fire-rings, stocking cleaning supplies, and garbage removal
- Building and facility maintenance including new construction, renovation, and routine repairs
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A valid driver's license
- Skills in operating, maintaining, and repairing equipment such as mowers, grass trimmers, tractors, weed sprayers, and trucks
- Ability to perform strenuous physical labor, work independently, manage time well, and work in a variety of weather conditions
