Who we are and what we do :
We are the administration office of the courts and we support the courts across the State of Tennessee.
Job Overview :
The Administrative Office of the Courts is seeking a Business Solutions Architect. This position is responsible for professional computer technology and managerial work of considerable difficulty; performs related work as required. This position assists in setting the technical and architectural strategy, developing and maintaining policies, guidelines, and standards. This position is also responsible for driving the delivery of IT Solutions including development, design, integration, and data modeling by analyzing stakeholders requirements. This hands-on position will steer the project team(s) from beginning to end ensuring the application or solution meets AOC's legacy technology needs and overall business strategy and the AOCs vision.
Key Responsibilities :
- Directs the operations of the development team comprised of 11 team members responsible for several distinctly different missions and tasks of vital importance to the Administrative Office of the Courts.
- Oversee critical technological support of the Administrative Office of the Courts and its environs, the Supreme Court, and over 120 General Sessions, Chancery, and Circuit courts across the State of Tennessee.
- Serve as technology liaison between the Administrative Office of the Courts, and the State Supreme Court, the State Legislature, all other State Courts and Court Staff, and other internal and external departments at the Municipal, State and Federal levels, as needed.
- Interacts directly with the stake holders and project manager to understand design requirements, develop, test, and provide performance tuning to support the collection and storage of data.
- Clearly document and articulate technical specifications (architectural roadmaps, detailed interface specs, solution diagrams, etc.) with all levels of the organization.
- Must have strong technical knowledge of various technologies, Java / J2EE, .NET, Restful / SOAP Microservices, Javascript, Cloud (AWS, Azure), RDBMS, FileNet etc.
- Serves as the technical authority in all development and integration initiatives and develops evaluation criteria for selecting AOC / State standard software or hardware by identifying user requirements, technical considerations and business considerations.
- Creates architectural design (State standard technology products, configurations, standards, processes, policies, etc.) for utilizing technology in AOC. Defines system architecture by specifying how the application functions and how data will be stored across application tiers.
- Facilitates the development of standardized procedures to provide a common process to integrate the deployment of new tools, techniques and technologies to exiting IT processes.
- Oversee operations of the TJIS database System, Felony Judgment Database System, and the Administrative Fee Database System.
- Additional duties as assigned.
- Evaluates information systems performance, and makes recommendations for improvements in coding, network configuration, or data administration efficiency and quality.
- Assist in the ETL development efforts, making sure that the business rules are implemented correctly and clarifying issues as they arise.
- Performs the data analysis activities to capture data requirements clearly, completely and correctly, and represent them in a visual way through a logical data model
- Create data models from business rules, architect and create logical and physical designs
- Develop and maintain standards for data management to include : element naming, describing, governing, managing, modeling, storing, cleansing, transforming, location and delivery.
- Write business workflows, estimations and analysis documents.
Minimum Qualifications :
Education and Experience : Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree.
