Assistant Regional Director support the Public Health Regional Director by working closely with the County Directors, and Program Directors to provide overall guidance in program planning, development, and evaluation.
Job Overview
The Tennessee Department of Health is seeking a dynamic, self-motivated, organized, and dedicated individual to serve as the PUBLIC HEALTH REG ASST DIR for the Mid-Cumberland Region; to support the Public Health Regional Director by providing executive management in all public health related programs and services throughout the region's 12 counties.
Key Responsibilities
Assistant Regional Director support the Public Health Regional Director by working closely with the County Directors, and Program Directors to provide overall guidance in program planning, development, and evaluation. This individual will supervise a multidisciplinary team, including Public Health Program Directors, Administrative Support Director, Business Tech Support- Lead and will be responsible for monitoring staff productivity to assure the effective and efficient delivery of services.
Minimum Qualifications
- Hold a bachelor's degree in health, Public Health, Health Education, Public Health Administration, or another closely related field. Qualifications Desired:
- Hold a master's degree in health, Public Health, Health Education, or Public Health Administration
- Professional experience in healthcare organizations, public health, or health practice in Tennessee
- A minimum of 5 years of any professional public health experience; or experience involved in fiscal and personnel management in a public health setting.
- At least 5 years of full-time supervisory work or managerial experience
- Experience in project management (business, management, budgeting, and analysis)
- Experience in quality and/or process and performance improvement.
