Duties
- Provide one-on-one support to clients in managing their mental health and behavioral challenges.

- Conduct assessments to identify client needs and develop personalized support plans.
- Facilitate access to community resources and services, including mental health counseling and addiction treatment.
- Engage in motivational interviewing techniques to encourage clients towards positive change.
- Document client progress and maintain accurate records of interactions and interventions.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including social workers and mental health professionals, to ensure comprehensive care.
- Mentor clients by providing guidance, encouragement, and support throughout their recovery journey.

Qualifications
- Active Certified Peer Support Worker License
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent; be self-identified as a current or former consumer of mental health or substance abuse services
- Minimum of 3 years in recovery
- Experience in addiction counseling
- Strong skills in crisis intervention and management
- Proficiency in motivational interviewing
- Background in social work or related field
- Familiarity with EHR systems
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Additional Requirements:
- Active New Mexico Medicaid Number or obtain within 90 days of employment
- Must have own vehicle, valid drivers license and auto insurance to transport clients to and from appointments
- Cleared criminal background check and signed statement regarding felony indictments and/or convictions.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
