The Department of Human Services, Division of Aging and Adult Services (DAAS) is looking to fill an Adult Protective Services (APS) Therapist/Investigator position in their Ogden office as a Licensed Clinical Therapist (LCT) or as a Social Worker depending on your qualifications..
SOCIAL WORKER: Pay Range $20.38 - $30.64
Requires a Certified Social Worker, Associate Clinical Mental Health Counselor or an Associate Marriage & Family Therapist licensure with the State of Utah. A candidate hired into the Social Worker job must qualify for the LCT job by obtaining clinical licensure within 2 years.
LICENSED CLINICAL THERAPIST (LCT): Pay Range $27.24 - $41.50
Requires an active Clinical Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist, Clinical Mental Health Counselor or Psychologist licensure with the State of Utah.
The State of Utah requires all employees to physically work inside the State of Utah Boundaries.
This position is not clinical in nature, but a majority of the time will be spent conducting Adult Protective Services (APS) investigations.
Principle Duties
The APS LCT Investigator will need to be able to:
Preference may be given to applicants who have at least 3 years of experience working with the elderly and/or vulnerable adults or at least 3 years of experience with people with disabilities.

- act within APS statute, rules and policy and use independent judgment and discretion in the investigation of abuse, neglect and exploitation of vulnerable adults
- conduct clinical assessments and document findings
- promote the integrity and quality of the APS program
- facilitate resource coordination
- promote community awareness of abuse, neglect and exploitation
- participate in research, training, and supervisory programs and provide case management to include investigations, consultation, assessments of training needs and follow-up services

- Risks found in the typical office setting, which is adequately lighted, heated and ventilated, e.g., safe use of office equipment, avoiding trips and falls, observing fire regulations, etc.
- Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to perform the work; however, there may be some walking; standing; bending; carrying light items; driving an automobile, etc. Special physical demands are not required to perform the work.
