Building and Grounds Supervisor: Maintenance Supervisor

  • Oversee Daily Operations: Manage maintenance activities to ensure the park remains safe, functional, and welcoming.
  • Hands-on Maintenance: Perform tasks including landscaping, facility repairs, and equipment upkeep.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain a variety of tools, vehicles, and heavy equipment.
  • Administrative Support: Assist with inventory tracking, supply orders, and maintenance log management.
  • Visitor Services: Address maintenance-related concerns from park visitors promptly and effectively.
  • Team Coordination: Guide and coordinate seasonal staff and volunteers to ensure projects are completed efficiently.
  • Proactive Inspections: Conduct regular inspections of park facilities and grounds to identify and resolve issues before they escalate.

Required:

  • Proven experience in facilities and grounds maintenance, including repairs, landscaping, and equipment operation.
  • Proficiency in using a variety of tools, vehicles, and heavy machinery commonly employed in park maintenance.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve maintenance issues efficiently.
  • Dependability and a consistent record of delivering high-quality work.
  • Ability to work outdoors under varying weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.

Preferred:

  • Experience in park or grounds maintenance, facility operations, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of landscaping, irrigation systems, and building repairs.
  • Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in park maintenance.
  • Skills in maintaining accurate records, managing budgets, and tracking inventory.
  • Innovation and proactive problem-solving abilities.

Working Conditions:

  • Travel: Occasional travel may be required.
  • Hours: Flexible scheduling with the expectation of working irregular hours, including weekends, holidays, and after-hours as needed to support park operations.
