Do you enjoy assisting a variety of people each day? Then consider applying for a Motor Vehicle Technician position with the Draper (South Valley) DMV office. You must be current on your state and federal tax filings and pass a FBI level criminal background check.

Job Duties

As a Motor Vehicle Technician, you will :

• Issue license plates, permits, registrations, certificates, etc.
• Receive, research and respond to incoming questions or complaints; provide information, explain policy and procedures, and / or facilitate a resolution.
• Process transactions at a Point of Sale system, give correct change and close cash drawer at the end of shift.
• Assist the public and others to complete forms, applications and other paperwork.
• Examine documents to verify applicability, legibility, completeness, accuracy, and / or consistency of information from one document to another, etc.

Non-state employees are hired for this position at $18.73 an hour. We are unable to negotiate hourly wage amounts. DHRM rules apply for promotions / transfers for current state employees.

Annual leave and sick leave are accrued at 4 hours per pay period each (4 hours annual, 4 hours sick).
