What are the responsibilities and job description for the Life Guard/Pool Attendant position at State of Utah?

The National Guard has a great civilian temporary/seasonal job as a Lifeguard, Pool Attendant , and/or Snack attendant at Camp Williams. Pay will be between $15-$17 per hour for part-time Lifeguards from June through early August. The Camp Williams pool is open Thursday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. As a Lifeguard at Camp Williams, your principal duties will be to:
- Perform lifeguard safety activities.
- Ensure that basic swimming pool regulations are adhered to by all people using the swimming facility.
Must provide lifeguard certification or be willing to attend a certification course sponsored by the MWR program.

- Administer emergency first aid as needed.
- Observe all conditions of the pool area and equipment.
- Prevent or eliminate hazardous situations.
- Knowledge of basic lifeguard methods.
