The Utah Schools for the Deaf and the Blind (USDB) invites you to consider an employment opportunity with our Agency. We are looking for a reliable and responsible candidate to fill a School Bus Driver position. This position is located in Ogden. Travel is required between all USDB campuses.
*Working schedule: Friday & Sunday - other work hours vary dependent upon field trip schedule. 30 hours or less each week, nine months during the school year (181 days)*

Roles and Responsibilities
- Drives a school bus exceeding 26,000 pounds GVW and operates related equipment to transport disabled (deaf/hard-of-hearing, blind/visually impaired, developmentally disabled, etc.) students affiliated with the Utah Schools for the Deaf and the Blind to various off-campus events and activities;
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
The model candidate for this position is someone who:
- has or is willing to obtain before official start date a valid Class A or B Commercial Driver License (CDL) with School Bus and Passenger Endorsements, air brake training.
- Clean driving record
- Be able to run, maneuver, navigate, and drive a school bus
- Knowledge of school bus operation, routing, and safety
- Knowledge of traffic control and safety procedures; applicable laws, rules, regulations, and policies and procedures
- Successful completion of a criminal background check.
