What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seasonal Groundskeeper position at State of Utah?

The Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) is seeking someone to fill a seasonal Groundskeeper II position working at the Region One Headquarters office located in Ogden, Utah.
Principal Duties
As the Groundskeeper II, your duties include but are not limited to:
- Mow, rake, water and fertilize lawn.
- Plant, transplant, water, fertilize, and trim flowers and shrubs.
- Control weeds.
- Maintain and clean grounds, parking areas, etc.
- Remove ice and snow.
- Use and operates a variety of hand tools, electrical, mechanical, and automotive equipment.
- Assist with general maintenance of sprinkler systems.
- Assist with preventive maintenance of lawnmowers, snow blowers and other small grounds keeping equipment.
- May apply herbicides, pesticides, insecticides, fertilizers, and other chemical compounds under close licensed supervision.
- Other duties as assigned.
The Qualified Candidate
The qualified candidate for this position is someone who:
- Has a valid drivers license.
- Has experience in landscaping and grounds care.
- Has experience with irrigation systems.
- Has experience using pesticides/herbicides.
- Is proactive and self-motivated.
