Starting Pay: $18.55
Responsibilities and Duties
Title IV-E Medicaid Eligibility Specialists perform the following tasks:
- Collecting and reviewing client information to determine client's/applicant's eligibility and options.
- Preparing and/or processing documents; reviewing for accuracy and completeness; updating information and/or evaluating against policy; comparing elements for consistency or logical relationships, etc.
- Referring clients to other available services to meet needs where appropriate.
- Consulting with Division staff regarding eligibility requirements when necessary.
- Maintaining and/or creating files or record keeping systems; sorting, labeling, filing, and retrieving documents, and/or other materials.
- Entering data into relevant databases such as EREP, MMIS and SAFE.

Preference
Preference may be given to candidates who have:
- Professional work experience or knowledge of Title IV-E and Medicaid
- Two or more years' experience working in government or public programs
Hybrid Eligible
- Telework is eligible up to 3 days per work with 2 days required in office. The employee may also be required to attend DCFS/DHHS events. The State of Utah requires all employees to physically work inside the State of Utah boundaries.
