What are the responsibilities and job description for the AOT Contract Administrator I position at State of Vermont?
Overview
The Contract Administration Bureau within the Agency of Transportation (AOT) is a fast-paced setting dedicated to innovation and continuous improvement in serving our partners and customers. This position will work as a Contract Administrator in the Work Authorization Unit.
The Work Authorization Unit is responsible for :
- Review of work authorization requests and creating work authorizations
- Receiving and reviewing invoices associated to work authorizations
- Ensuring all work authorizations and invoices are in compliance with the contract as well as State and Federal regulations
- Managing the Consultant Evaluations process
This position requires an Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, and the ability to manage competing priorities while exhibiting clear communication are the key to success in this position. This position is in a series which allows for great growth potential.
The position is eligible for telework opportunities based on the needs of the Agency.

Minimum Qualifications
Associates degree or certificate program in contract administration, public administration, accounting, business management, legal, or related field.
High school or equivalent AND one (1) year or more of experience at a technical level in contract administration or a related field.
