Assists with performing activities of daily living (ADLs) for inmates while maintaining accountability in a safe, secure, and therapeutic environment. Observes, reports, document and communicate interventions, treatments, behaviors, emergent needs, and situations as they arise. Assists with caring for the mental health and physical needs of inmates. Assignments to other duties or locations may be necessary to meet the clinical and administrative needs of the Department.This is a full-time position with an annual salary range of $33,094 - $44,570.Minimum QualificationsHigh School diploma or equivalent.Must possess and maintain a valid unrestricted Virginia CNA license issued by the board of nursing (if you are a recent graduate of a CNA program in VA and not licensed, the NNAAP exam must be scheduled at the time of application).Knowledge of patient care, personal care techniques, and infection control measures.Demonstrated ability to take and record vital signs; to transfer and transport patients in a safe manner using proper body mechanics; to recognize signs and symptoms indicating distress; and to perform CPR.Ability to intervene in crisis or problem situations.Ability to work in a secure / locked environment.
