Job Opportunity: RN - Rehab (Salem, VA)
Position: Immediately need an experienced RN - Rehab for the 3 months of the contract.
Details:
Title: RN - Rehab
Location: Salem
Duration: 13 weeks (Extending)
Shift: 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. 12 hours. 3 days a week.
Pay rate: Lucrative pay Benefits Bonus
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg or PCU experience.
- Active license in VA state or compact license.
- COVID Vaccinated.
- BLS / CPR Preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Assess and monitor patients' health status, including vital signs and symptoms.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Provide care for patients undergoing procedures such as cardiac catheterization and gastric lavage.
- Collect specimens for processing and perform necessary laboratory tests.
- Educate patients and their families on health management, including health coaching techniques.
- Document patient care accurately in compliance with ICD-10 coding standards.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Assist in the management of patients in both inpatient settings and ambulatory surgery centers.
- Provide specialized care for infants and children when necessary.
Qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Previous experience in a Medical/Surgical setting is preferred.
- Skills in infant care, administering injections, and specimen collection processing are highly desirable.
- Familiarity with cardiac catheterization procedures is a plus.
- Knowledge of ICD-10 coding is beneficial.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and team members.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining a compassionate approach to patient care.
