Duties
Responsibilities:
Custodial duties: This position performs a variety of custodial, housekeeping, and general maintenance functions to maintain the cleanliness and care of our facilities. Cleans various buildings, offices, rooms, restrooms, sweeps, mops, vacuums, and steam cleans carpets and floors. Empties waste baskets, washes windows and blinds. Deep cleans barracks in Port Angeles and Forks. Minor painting and facility maintenance. Setup conference rooms and cleans surfaces. Maintains tools and equipment.
Grounds keeping duties: Pick up fallen debris, mows, weed trimming, blows sidewalks and parking lots, trims hedges and shrubs. Winter snow and ice removal. Maintains tools and equipment.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Six months of manual labor experience which may include minor repairs of equipment and small buildings/structures.
- Experience in janitorial work.
- Experience in operating small-motorized equipment such as lawn mowers, chainsaws, and weed eaters.
- Experience using a computer, which includes email, and internet searches.

- Perform assigned duties in a manner consistent with applicable laws, regulations and public records retention and requests are followed.

This position is in a warehouse and shop setting within the Olympic Region. Duties may be done outside in all types of weather conditions. Position is physically active, requiring lifting (up to 50 pounds), carrying, pulling, pushing to complete essential duties. Ability to work on
uneven terrain in all weather conditions - Some travel to work centers up to 100 miles away may be assigned.
- A valid unrestricted driver’s license and have two years of driving experience. This position requires driving as an essential function. Finalists and/or interview candidates will be asked to provide a driving record from all states in which they have held a license during the past three years.
