The Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA) is looking for a Case Resource Manager to join our team in Spokane at our Eastern State Hospital. Within a regional Field Services office this Case/Resource Manager position provides an advanced level of social services and specialized case and/or resource management for people with developmental disabilities and their families. The position adheres to local, state, and federal laws and regulations and provides services. The focus of this position is to serve as the placement liaison for eligible DDA clients who are residing at Eastern State Hospital (ESH) and are transitioning to community residential placements. Some of What you'll do
- Partner with Eastern State Hospital and liaison between DDA and the Habilitative Mental Health unit.
- Coordinates discharge planning for eligible clients
- Participate in client/case staffing's or reviews
- Collaborate with families/guardians and community members to advocate on behalf of clients
- Identify support needs of clients
- Schedule and conduct face to face home visits with clients and families
- Complete Planned Action Notices, policy exception requests and documents
- Ability to identify support needs and plan for appropriate services for persons with developmental disabilities
- Have experience with co-occurring intellectual disabilities and mental health diagnosis.
- Experience with case management services/supports.
- Assess and identify social dynamics between clients and families and/or other relationships
- Ability to identify and notify appropriate entities of dangerous or potentially dangerous situations for clients and/or co-workers
- Possess a high degree of communication skills (listen, observe, communicate, interview, understand, confront, engage in problem solving, and resolve conflict)
- Ability to compose professional, clear and grammatically correct correspondence
- Ability to travel as required for meetings, client visits, trainings, and conferences/workshops
Who should apply?

A Bachelor's degree in social sciences, social services, human services, behavioral sciences or an allied field and two years of experience providing social services to people with intellectual or developmental disabilities.

6 years of experience in providing social services to people with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
or -
Satisfactory completion of 12 months as a Case Resource Manager Trainee.
or - Equivalent experience/education
