We have an exciting opportunity to join our Resource Management team in Spokane where you'll play an active role in supporting Developmental Disabilities Administration Certified Residential Providers who provide opportunities for adults to live their lives independently in the community.
Where you will work We support a hybrid work model. For your first few months, you should expect to be in your local office regularly to receive support, and training and to connect with your peers. You and your supervisor will identify an appropriate work schedule, which may include the options to continue with the hybrid work model, modified work schedules, work at the duty station, or telework. You will be required to attend training outside of your local office, travel within the state of Washington will be required.
This opportunity will require travel to meet business needs. This position is also covered by a collective bargaining agreement.
Some of what you will do:
- Identify clients' support needs, plan for, and authorize payment for services.
- Schedule and conduct home visits with clients and providers.
- Complete rate assessments.
- Testify at administrative hearings as needed.
- Based on assessed needs, refer individuals to appropriate DDA services, other department services, and community programs or resources.
- Work with families and community members to advocate on behalf of clients.
- Collaborate with other agencies and professionals to support clients.
- Identify clients or families in crisis and make emergent referrals as needed to appropriate authorities, department/division. services, or local community resources.
- Respond to emergencies, extraordinary incidents, or work tasks that require employee response.
We are looking for professionals who have:
A Bachelor's degree in social sciences, social services, human services, behavioral sciences or an allied field and two years of experience providing social services to people with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
Or six years of experience in providing social services to people with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
Or Satisfactory completion of 12 months as a Case Resource Manager Trainee.
Or Equivalent experience/education.
Graduate training in the areas listed above will substitute, year for year, for one year of the experience providing social services to people with developmental disabilities.

- Organizational skills.
- Ability to listen, clarify, and follow directives.
- Ability to collaborate with team members, other agencies, and professionals to meet assessed client needs.
- Ability to safeguard sensitive and confidential information.
- Demonstrated sensitivity to diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to multi-task.
